Light pollution is every unnecessary, useless emission of light in an area outside the zone that needs to be lightened, like for example: streets, public areas, roads, billboards, etc., due to the use of non-environmental fixtures.
Especially at night, in the smaller and bigger urban settlements, above the horizon, you can notice how real orange-white “mushrooms” of light from the public and other kind of lighting are ascending, which these non-environmental fixtures radiate uncontrollably, environmentally unfriendly and uselessly.
Most resent studies of light pollution forms alert that there is a need to preserve the natural shift of day and night. In an ecological state like Montenegro, it is necessary to start an initiative, but, also, a comprehensive education (posters, lectures, media) in order to present to the wide population this phenomenon of the times which we live and to move the problem from the current dead point.
